I really like to sew little things like braceletes, coin purses and brooches, although my first love is bag making. These little projects help me in using small scraps of beautiful fabrics I have in my stash.
In May I tried to make something new. I self-drafted a pattern to make little coin purses I saw in a lot of occasions around me. They are "fold over" purses, with the shape of an envelope. And they are "new" also because they are unisex (I use to make only women things, but I want to change and think to our men, too!).
I made three of them, using almost 100% recycled materials (and I have a lot of fun taking photos of them, do you remember?).
Their exterior parts are made of my lovely recycled upholstery fabric, in similar tones and patterns.
You can find the prototype for sale here at a lower price (€ 9 instead of 12):
Being a prototype, it's not perfect in all details, but perfectly usable.
The second one I made is this one in gold, sand and olive green:
Then I made a third exemplar for EtsyItaliaTeam charity shop (we are rasing funds to help earthquake people, read here for more informations).

Talking about the charity shop I want to thank all the people who supported us all over the world by purchasing something or simply spreading the internet world about this fund rasing campaign.
And I want to send a big hugh particularly to my friend Pam! Not only she bought my bunny, but also wrote a blog post to help us!
Thank you, sweet and kind lady!!!
What a great design for a coin purse! Very nicely done. Very clever.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet words. I am excited to receive my bunny made by your hands! The Shopping Spree Giveaway at the Charity Shop ends tonight and i am excited to notify the winner so she can shop and make her selection!
